Shokin in court trying to recover the post of Prosecutor General

Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin trying through the courts to recover the posts.

The claim he filed to the Supreme administrative court, reports Ukrainian Pravda.

It is noted that the claim was March 13, 2017, evidenced by the statement on the website of the court.

The matter should be considered by the panel of judges, the presiding judge – Valentin Moroz.

Chief specialist of the press service of the court Galina Gaevskaya told the publication that the hearing is scheduled for 10 April 2017 15:30.

“In his statement of claim he asked to recognize illegal and to cancel the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on granting consent for the release of President Viktor Shokin from the post of Prosecutor General of Ukraine”, – said Gaevskaya.

“He also asked to define as illegal and to cancel the presidential decree of April 3, 2016 resignation from the post of Prosecutor General and the presidential decree of 23 June 2016 n 269/2016, as well as his reinstatement in the administrative office,” she said.

It is worth noting that in the decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko No. 269 / 2016 shall be supplemented the previous decree about the dismissal of Shokin. The decree is supplemented with the words “upon request”.
