The government plans to fully monetize the benefits
In 2018 Ukrainian beneficiaries will receive a cash payment from the state instead of providing benefits in kind. Experiment with monetization will hold on July 1, 2017 in the Lviv region.
“The state for all time assumed excessive liabilities. So we see the only way out of this situation – monetization, i.e., monetary compensation to each of the beneficiaries instead of providing benefits in kind”, – said Minister of social policy Andrei Reva, quoted by the press service of the Ministry.
For 2017 it is planned to allocate for benefit programs 15 billion UAH.
“In 2018, if we take all the programs that should be funded, it will be about 20 billion hryvnia,” – said the Minister.
We will remind, after end of a heating season the period of 2016-2017 years also promise to introduce the monetization of unused subsidies. A certain part of the funds will be used for energy efficiency measures and modernization. Finally this system is not yet approved.
