Poroshenko instructed the General staff and the Ministry of defence to cease fire in the Donbas since April
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of defence of the ceasefire in the Donbas since April 1.
It is reported by Interfax.
“I gave all the necessary commands to the General staff and the defense Minister,” said the President, answering the Agency’s question about whether the Ukrainian side to implement the progress of the Minsk agreements.
According to him, this initiative was offered by Ukraine.
“This once again refutes Russian claims regarding the position of the Ukrainian side, who allegedly are not ready for peace. On the contrary consistently all three years we do not just declare, we prove that the Ukrainian side to ensure the ceasefire regime, withdrawal of Russian troops, gaining control over the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border and restore Ukrainian sovereignty over the occupied Donbas and Crimea”, – said Poroshenko.
