Ukraine will receive 600 million euros of aid from the EU next week — Poroshenko

After the meeting with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that already next week Ukraine expects revenues from the EU macro-financial assistance, the amount of which will amount to 600 million euros.

This was reported by press Secretary of the President Svyatoslav Tsegolko in his Twitter.

As the press service of the President, Poroshenko said that the next tranche of the international macro-financial assistance to Ukraine will contribute to the stabilization of the state budget and strengthen reserves.

“I have great pleasure to announce that next week, from 3 to 7 April, on account of Ukraine should do, finally, 600 million Euro macro-financial assistance”, — said Petro Poroshenko during communication with representatives of mass media in the framework of the working visit to the Republic of Malta.

“In addition, on Monday of the scheduled meeting of the Board of the International monetary Fund, which also will decide on granting the tranche to us $ 1 billion,” — said the President.

We will remind, on March 16 the European Commission adopted a decision to allocate to Ukraine the second tranche of macro-financial assistance in the amount of 600 million euros.

March 20, Poroshenko said that Ukraine will receive 600 million Euro macro-financial assistance from the European Union immediately after the receipt of the next tranche from the International monetary Fund.

Note the head of the EU delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli stressed that in order to get 600 million Euro macro-financial assistance from the EU, Ukraine needs only to register a bill lifting the moratorium on the export of unprocessed wood.
