Chronicle of the ATO for Friday: shelled checkpoint and wounded soldier
Since the beginning of the day, March 31, and until 18:00 militants 50 times fired at positions of the Ukrainian military in the Donbass. One soldier was wounded.
“The situation in the ATO area remains tense. With the beginning of the day Russian-terrorist troops 50 times fired at positions armed forces of Ukraine, often using heavy weapons prohibited by the accords. To suppress firing activity of the enemy, the Ukrainian military opened fire in response”, – stated in the summary of the press center of staff ATO.
On the Mariupol direction had the most attacks. Artillery caliber of 122 mm mortars 120 caliber fighters shot the Ukrainian Marines in Shirokino, Gnutova and Water. The soldiers in Pavlopole beat from artillery systems of 122 calibre and mortars of caliber of 120 mm and 82 mm, grenade launchers and machine guns beat on the sea pyatintsu in the Water. In the area of Shirokino Russian-terrorist units used as anti-aircraft guns ZU-23-2 armed BMP, grenades of different systems and heavy machine guns. Under Novotroitsk intensified snipers. From small arms fighters fired at the checkpoint “Marinka”.
On the Donetsk direction the militants shelled with mortars 82-caliber near Luhansk, the Trinity and Zaytsevy. From APCS and heavy machine guns fired at the Ukrainian military near the mine Butovka and Luhansk, rocket-propelled grenades fired at Avdeevka and Verhnetoretskom. Near Avdeevka and Novotroitsk intensified sniper.
In the Luhansk region from mortars of caliber of 120 mm and 82 mm, as well as from heavy machine guns Russian-terrorist units covered Ukrainian positions near krymske. And from mortars 120 caliber gets in Verkhnetoretsky.
