Poroshenko discussed with the President of Romania, the opportunities for gas transportation

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis discussed the further cooperation in gas transport sector to enhance energy security.

The sides discussed the opportunities for natural gas transportation between the two countries, including the reverse supply chain.

Poroshenko welcomed the position of Romania on the need to save the EU sanctions against Russia for its aggression and violation of territorial integrity of Ukraine.

In addition, the President of Ukraine thanked for assistance in the rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian servicemen and rehabilitation of children affected by Russian aggression. Also Poroshenko expressed gratitude for the implementation of the project of the NATO trust Fund for Ukraine with cyber defence.

The presidents agreed to intensify the work of the joint Commission on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation.
