Gontareva said that Ukraine will receive the IMF tranche
Ukraine will soon receive a tranche from the International monetary Fund. This should occur a few days after the IMF Board of Directors April 3, settle internal bureaucratic procedures of the Fund.
In an interview with UKRINFORM told the head of the national Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva.
“Last week the national Bank and Ministry of Finance have agreed on at the working level with IMF experts assess the effect of the trade embargo, and the IMF took the Ukrainian side provided macroeconomic forecasts as a basis for updating their own forecasts”, – she explained.
According to Gontareva, now everything depends on the IMF. The Fund should conduct its own internal bureaucratic procedures and set a date for a new meeting of the Board of Directors of the IMF.

“The next step is for the IMF, continue the relevant internal bureaucratic procedures of the Fund, is required to update the macroeconomic forecasts and the associated indicators and appointment of new date of the meeting of the Board of Directors of the IMF. After blockade ORDO the macroeconomic Outlook in the economy deteriorated. However, Valeria Gontareva assured that they will be improved when the enterprise in the occupied territories will be returned to their owners, registered in Ukraine, although this scenario is unlikely.
“And even at preserving the status quo in the East there are many other factors that we did not put in the baseline scenario, and which could improve the situation in the economy. For example, a more rapid reorientation of enterprises, which for the seizure of enterprises and trade blockade ORDO lost sources of raw materials and energy, alternative sources. Positive for the economy would be more rapid growth of prices for Ukrainian exports on global markets and privatization of state enterprises”, – she added.
