Director of the NABU was intrigued by a statement about the investigation of a new high-profile cases

The creation of an anti-corruption court in Ukraine may be held before the end of 2017. However, it requires political will of the majority in Parliament, where it already is and awaits a vote the bill. Such anti-corruption court is required to consider high-profile cases that currently hamper the ordinary courts. And a new investigation.

This was a live broadcast of the program TSN.Week told the Director of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine Sytnyk.

– You said that the creation of an anti-corruption court in Ukraine is under threat because politicians are not prepared to support it. Who exactly can call? Who is the main enemy – the President, Prime Minister, MPs?

– If we are talking about anti-corruption court, it was tough enough message to all our strategic partners from the us government, from the International monetary Fund, the European Union, the countries “the Big seven”. And, in principle, in this direction in order to give a powerful message to our government that it needs to do to anti-corruption reform continued on. Because you are now in a position that people can say, “Okay, you…”.

We know that. And who hinders? Who is against?

– Well, you know the key political players. We have seen what factions specifically dealt with this circus with our auditor. And these factions that form the coalition, they bear the main political responsibility for the creation of this court. Will see how they will drive this process. The corresponding bill is already in Parliament. And I declare as the person who along with his team created from scratch a new law-enforcement body (NEB) to create this court, if there is political will, possibly before the end of this year. And provide answers for those cases in which we are investigating, is constantly sent to the court, but in court they stop.

– Will there be soon a new high-profile investigations and criminal proceedings?

– There are very interesting investigations that are now under implementation. And perhaps there will be a process. I’m not going to announce, because the announcements is the most ungrateful thing you can do in business. And so, we are surrounded and trying to protect the information that we have. But things there are, I think, what happened in Parliament, it is only the beginning in creating pressure on our Agency.
