Ukraine will continue to conduct a thorough review of all social assistance recipients. At the same time in Ukraine will create a single centralized database of recipients of social benefits.

“We are determined to strengthen control over the appointment of social payments and to improve their targeting to minimize the assignment of benefits to those who do not meet the requirements. To this end, we, as part of a package of legislation on the budget for 2017, has already made changes to legislation that will allow the Finance Ministry to have access to the unified database of the civil status of the voter register and other relevant databases in the validation process of social appointments. Until the end of June 2017, the Parliament also approved the law on the verification of income recipients of social assistance based on household income and their assets. Based on this information, we will stop the payment of social assistance to those not eligible for crediting”, – the document says.
