Omeljan told, with passenger and freight rates on the railroad
In the near future rise in prices for passenger tickets for travel by the trains of “Ukrzaliznytsya” will not. At the same time regarding the growth of tariffs for cargo transportation is still an ongoing debate.
This was stated by the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian, writes “UKRINFORM”.
“Business is ready to pay higher rates, if he understands that he will receive the highest quality of service,” explained Omeljan.
The Minister recalled that in 2016, the rates of “Ukrzaliznytsya” increased by 15% and the company received an additional 4 billion UAH. The money was supposed to be aimed at the modernization of the enterprise, to increase its capitalization, the purchase of rolling stock. However, according to the Omelyan, means “just disappeared”.
“The company is not stable. There is no guarantee that the next tariff increase will not lead to another “black hole”. And just there’s another quasilegal, which will increase its financial resources and in electronic declarations will write another billion or two,” said the Minister.
