Scandal with “Ukrzaliznytsya”: Omeljan called the unreasonable prices on toilets in trains over 1 million UAH
The head of the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelian announced that Ukrzaliznytsia has set an unreasonable price for the purchase of equipment of toilets in trains.
Branch “Center of support of the production” of the “Ukrainian Railways” has announced a tender for purchase of toilets of passenger cars, totaling 269,85 million. However, it is expected to buy 250 toilets, each of which will cost 1.08 million.
“I think that Ukrzaliznytsia needs to explain to the public why is this price, the cost of production, why these lots formed in this way, because there is, in technical documentation, there are a lot of interesting things,” he said, Omelyan “Interfax-Ukraine”.

We will remind, in January, infrastructure Minister criticized the policy of the government and the Railways. He gave the Prime Minister the documents about the corruption of the Ministry. In response, Volodymyr Groysman called the charges quarrels. And pointed to the incompetence of the Minister in matters of rail transport.
“You have unfortunately today there is no expert knowledge in railway. The Minister can’t afford personal relationships to subordinates. And you said something and I said it. You’re not there. Maybe somewhere in the office of the Minister squabbles can be dealt with”, – said Groisman.
