Veterans increased one-time cash assistance to nearly a quarter

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the payment of one-time cash assistance to veterans of the Second world war, disabled war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution in average by 26%.

This is with reference to the relevant decision of the government, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

So, war invalids of the 1st group will be paid 3.5 thousand UAH, invalids of the 2nd group and 2.7 thousand UAH, the 3rd group was 2.7 thousand combatants – 1.2 thousand UAH.

In turn, the victims of Nazi persecution will pay 600 UAH, and prisoners of concentration camps – UAH 500.

The Cabinet intends to increase pensions this year

Recall Groisman has promised a significant increase of pensions since October. “Today I say quite objectively: if the pension reform, which will offer the government, I guarantee we 1 Oct enough quality we will increase pensions to Ukrainians, all” – said Groisman.

The head of government informed that currently 80% of Ukrainian pensioners are living below the poverty line.

March 31, Groisman said that in the case of adoption of the Council’s draft pension reform until July 15, the government will be able to increase pensions from 1 October. According to officials, pension reform should include three criteria: fairness, balanced Pension Fund, and increased pensions. The new pension reform, according to the head of the government, will allow for 7 years to completely eliminate the deficit of the Pension Fund of 140 billion UAH.
