In Minsk, representatives of Ukraine, Germany and France urged Russia to unlock the process of liberation of hostages in the Donbas on the eve of Easter.
About it reported in a press-service of the head of state.
“April 6, 2017 in Minsk held a meeting in Normandy format at the level of the diplomatic advisers to the leaders of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia. The three countries urged Russia to unlock the process of liberation of hostages in the Donbas, in particular in the eve of Easter holidays”, – stated in the message.
As noted, once again it was stressed that the release of the hostages was urgent, and besides, the sides spoke out for the immediate consolidation of the “regime of silence” in the Donbass and discussed the proper implementation of the agreements on withdrawal of heavy weapons.

“Ukrainian, German and French sides condemned the violations by Russia-backed militants of the cease-fire in effect since 1 April 2017 in accordance with the decision of the Trilateral contact group on 29 March 2017,” – said the press service.
Special emphasis was placed on the security of the OSCE’s special monitoring mission in the Donbas and the provision of free access to all of the occupied territories, in particular, the Russian side urged to take all necessary measures to end the intimidation by militants of the observers Mission.
“The Ukrainian side stressed that the recent steps of Russia and supported the militants in the Donbas, in particular the actual expropriation of the Ukrainian enterprises and the recognition of the illegal documents contradict the Minsk agreements and threaten the entire settlement process”, – said the President of Ukraine.
In the end the parties agreed to continue the meeting in the “Norman format” to negotiate a Road map of execution of the Minsk agreements and stressed the priority of performing their safety components.
