Groysman advocates import any coal, except for the Russian
Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman believes that due to the shortage of anthracite coal group Ukraine needs to import from different countries, with the exception of Russia, because she is the aggressor.
He stated this at a press conference devoted to results of work of the government for the year, reports UNIAN.
“As for diversification: of course, we need to buy the missing volumes of coal to purchase from different countries, and I want to emphasize that I am advocating that we purchased in the United States, Australia, that is from other countries, not the aggressor”, – he said.
Groysman noted that Ukraine is 501 days does not import Russian gas and leads the renovation of thermal power plants, which run on scarce coal. These stations, according to the head of the government, transferred to the coal gas brands which is extracted in Ukraine.
“And Tripoli and zmiivska TPP today moderniziriruyutsya. In Tripoli it is necessary to modernize the station – for this you need 1 billion UAH, and this work is underway. Zmiev – two blocks will be converted from the group of anthracite coal this year … Also we increase hydropower and nuclear energy”, – said the Prime Minister.

Recall that today, April 11th, tothe company Akhmetov suspended operation of another thermal power plant. In particular, in the Dnipropetrovsk region today suspended the work of the Krivoy Rog power plant, part of the holding DTEK businessman Rinat Akhmetov. Therefore, the company want to save coal and save it until the summer.
This is the fourth thermal power plant, which last week suspended work. April 5 rocket (Dnepr, DTEK) and trypilska TPP (Ukrainka in Kyiv region, “Centrenergo”) ceased production of electricity for the sake of economy of anthracite coal, April 7 – zmiivska TPP (the largest power plant in the Kharkiv region, “Centrenergo”). In “Ukrenergo” has previously stated that there is nothing wrong in stopping there.
