The company Akhmetov suspended operation of another thermal power plant
In the Dnipropetrovsk region today, 11 April, suspended the work of the Krivoy Rog power plant, part of the holding DTEK businessman Rinat Akhmetov. Therefore, the company want to save coal and save it until the summer.

Before to stop the TPP completely, it worked for only one block out of ten available. And in warehouses was about to 33.9 thousand tons of coal.
Kryvorizka TPP with the capacity of 2820 MW located on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region, 20 km West of apostolove city, and 2 km from the village of Zelenodolsk. The station provides electricity to the region of the Dnieper. Project fuel – the so-called lean coal, backup fuel is fuel oil and gas.
We will remind that it already the fourth thermal power plant, which last week suspended work. April 5 rocket (Dnepr, DTEK) and trypilska TPP (Ukrainka in Kyiv region, “Centrenergo”) ceased production of electricity for the sake of economy of anthracite coal, April 7 – zmiivska TPP (the largest power plant in the Kharkiv region, “Centrenergo”).
In “Ukrenergo” has previously stated that there is nothing wrong in stopping there.
“The technological ability to stop the “anthracite”of power units after completion of the heating season was developed by us in conjunction with the generating companies and the energy Ministry. We carefully weighed all aspects of the stability of the power system together with generation companies developed a plan for trouble-free shutdown of the units and is now fully ready to script with “off” blocks which are coal-fired anthracite”, – assured the acting Director of Ukrenergo Vsevolod Kovalchuk.
Note that summer is the traditional maximum load on the grid, so by that time, and also period of repairs, TES accumulate in the warehouses of coal. If necessary, the units will promptly incorporate into the work.
