G7 expressed support for Ukrainian reforms, but warned of much work ahead

The foreign Ministers of the countries “Big seven” welcomed the results of reforms in Ukraine, but emphasized that much work still lies ahead.

This is stated in the joint statement of Ministers of foreign Affairs of the countries “Big seven”, writes UKRINFORM.

Countries “Big seven” urged the Ukrainian government to focus on key areas, in particular, the reform of public administration and political system, justice reform, decentralization, anti-corruption and promoting civil liberties, in particular freedom of expression.

“Efforts to fight corruption, should not be used against civil society, which is vital to reform of Ukraine”, – said in a statement.

In the end, the Ministers of the countries “the Big seven” have confirmed the intention to assist and support in carrying out the necessary reforms.
