Poroshenko will initiate the extension of sanctions by the EU against Russia for a year
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will initiate the extension of the EU sanctions against Russia for a year.
He said this during a speech in Malta, writes UKRINFORM.
“I’m going to put a question on the extension of sanctions on 6 and 12 months. We will do everything to more to motivate Russia to come to the negotiating table, to implement Minsk to withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian territory and cease its aggression,” said Poroshenko.
The President added that it plans to soon hold consultations with the leaders of the group of seven countries on the situation in the Donbas.
