The city Council extended the contract with “Kyivenergo” Akhmetov

The city Council extended the contract with the company “Kyivenergo” for management of the capital’s heating systems until April 26, 2018.

It was voted 62 deputies, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

“The decision provides for termination of the agreement which existed for over 16 years. Finally we must begin to plan for the completion of the transaction with “”Kyivenergo” and the return of property of the Kiev community,” said the Rapporteur, Deputy Chairman of the KCSA Petr Panteleyev.

Solution it is proposed to extend the agreement to April 26, inclusive, and to make an inventory of the property and then return it in good condition” the Kiev community (more than 90 thousand objects).

The contract with “Kyivenergo” for management of urban heat networks ends on 31 December 2017. In November 2016, the Kiev administration has said it does not intend to renew the contract with PJSC “Kyivenergo” concerning the management of the thermal assets of the city. The city Council intends to consider the question of who becomes the owner of the heating network of Kyiv in November 2017. In June it became known that the Kyiv city state administration began negotiations with the Finnish company Fortum of a possible control energokomplekss Kiev.

As you know, the main owners of “Kyivenergo” is the company DTEK oligarch Rinat Akhmetov (72%) and the state of the NJSC “Energy company of Ukraine”(25%).
