Putin has included the coastal waters of the occupied Crimea free economic zone – media

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the Federal law “about inclusion of internal sea waters and territorial sea of the Russian Federation” along the coastal line of the occupied Crimea to the so-called “free economic zones in the region.”

It is reported by Interfax, citing the Russian media.

“The new law posted Saturday on the official portal of legal information. In October 2016 the government has approved the draft amendments to the law expands the Crimean FEZ. The state Duma adopted the law on 21 June 2017, the Federation Council approved the document on 27 June”, – stated in the message.

Thus, the government of the Russian Federation provided that the inclusion of water in the vicinity of the occupied Crimea in the “free economic zone will contribute to the increase in the number of persons wishing to obtain the status of the participant of free economic zones and attraction of additional investments into economy of the region.”

Earlier it was reported that the European Union extended economic sanctions against Russia by six months. The President of the European Council Donald Tusk assured that sanctions against Russia will be extended for at least the next six months.

USA, in turn, the sanctions list was expanded. They imposed restrictive measures for a further 38 Russians and Russian organizations for the invasion of Russia in Ukraine. Thus, the number of organizations that fall under the sanctions, were the Russian private military company “Wagner” and by businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is the chef of the government of the Russian Federation, in particular President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
