An investor from Russia has filed papers with the NBU for the purchase of 100% shares of “Sberbank Ukraine”
Famous Belarusian IT–businessman Victor Prokopenya who paid a record income tax in Belarus by the end of 2016, 1.4 million. can become the owner of 100% of shares of Sberbank of Russia JSC ( Ukraine). The fact of submission of documents on purchase of subsidiary Bank “Sberbank of Russia” in Ukraine through the Belarusian Paritetbank Victor Prokopenya confirmed at the NBU.
According to the regulator, the package of documents required for approval of the indirect acquisition (through the Belarusian Paritetbank) 100% of the shares of Sberbank Ukraine received from the citizen of Belarus and Cyprus, Victor of Protopine 30 June 2017 At the same time, as it became known earlier,on April 12, 2017, the NBU has also been submitted a package of documents for approval of acquisition of substantial stake in Sberbank on the part of the citizen of the UK and the Russian Federation, said Gutseriev, who was a co-investor V. Answering journalists ‘ questions about whether the acquisition of the savings Bank joint investment, the Victor of Protopine and said Gutseriev, Victor Prokopenya noted that the joint investments we are not talking and offered to ask a question about the plans for “savings” directly to Mr. Gutseriev.

Mr. Prokopenya also said that it is too early to talk about the rebranding of Sberbank (Ukraine) to promote in the market a single brand – “Paritetbank” after its purchase and at the moment the main factor is the successful approval of an application for the acquisition of the savings Bank by the national Bank of Ukraine. “It is too early to look beyond the horizon, let’s wait for the decision of the regulator, and then we’ll talk about further plans,” he said.
The purchase of “savings” will be implemented through Belarusian “Paritetbank” – 15-th Bank of Belarus in terms of assets. Victor Prokopenya documents filed for the acquisition of 99.83% of shares of “Paritetbank”, now belonging to the Republic of Belarus, for 50 million dollars. Thus for the successful implementation of a contract for the purchase of Sberbank, a Belarusian businessman, successful negotiation of transactions for the purchase of Bank assets in two countries – Ukraine and Belarus.
