The Committee agreed to remove the immunity Polyakova
The procedural Committee of the Verkhovna Rada gave consent to the deprivation of the people’s Deputy from “popular front” Maxim Polyakov parliamentary immunity.
The decision was taken after consideration of submissions, supported and introduced to the Verkhovna Rada by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko: “On granting consent to criminal prosecution of people’s Deputy of Ukraine Polyakov Maksim Anatolievich”, “On giving consent to the detention of people’s Deputy of Ukraine Polyakov Maksim Anatolievich”, “On giving consent to the election of the national Deputy of Ukraine Polyakov Maxim Anatolyevich preventive measure of detention (arrest)”.
According to members of the Committee, representation on removal of inviolability from the people’s Deputy Maxim Polyakov is insufficiently substantiated. For this decision, the Committee voted unanimously.

Now the conclusion of the Committee will be forwarded to the speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy.
Note, during the meeting of the Committee was shown video and audio recordings that relate to the case Polyakova.
“For further investigation I would ask the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada and the Verkhovna Rada itself to maintain performance and to consent to the removal of inviolability from the people’s Deputy Polyakov for detention and arrest”, – said Lutsenko disclosed materials and noted the existence of a risk that the Poles may abscond.
We will remind, the Director of NABU Sytnyk June 20 during a press briefing disclosed a scheme for the extraction of amber, to say nothing of the people’s Deputy from BPP Boryslav Rozenblat and the MP from the “people’s front” Maxim Polyakov. According to the head of the Bureau, referred to the scheme under the guise of reclamation of Zhytomyr region planned actual amber extraction and subsequent implementation through an offshore company where the founder was the sister of Rosenblatt.
The amount of bribes received in the said case is more than 300 thousand hryvnias. June 19, detectives of the National anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine detained the security guard of the people’s Deputy from BPP Borislav Rosenblatt during receiving a bribe of 200 thousand dollars. The people’s Deputy Serhiy Leshchenko claimed that co-defendant Rosenblatt received money for the solution of a question on licensing of production of amber.
However, he said the accusations against his security guard provocation.
Deputies Rosenblatt and Polyakova want to deprive of immunity – they both appear in the amber case. The corresponding representation is already prepared.
