NATO Secretary General arrives in Kiev

The delegation of the North Atlantic Council, composed of 29 ambassadors of the member countries of the Alliance led by the General Secretary of NATO Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Kiev.

The Secretary-General and members of the North Atlantic Council met with the guard of honor of the Armed forces of Ukraine , the newly appointed head of Ukraine’s Mission to NATO Vadim pristayko.

According to the program of the visit of the Vice Prime Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will take part in the opening of the exhibition “Ukraine-NATO. The formula is safe.” Exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Charter on a distinctive partnership between Ukraine and NATO.

Further, in the AP of Ukraine will take place the ceremony of the meeting NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg. Then, under the chairmanship of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Jens Stoltenberg will begin meeting of the Commission Ukraine-NATO.

Also, the NATO chief will meet with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrey Parubiy, heads of parliamentary factions and chairmen of parliamentary committees that are part of Euro-Atlantic integration.

The delegation of the North Atlantic Council will take part in the opening of the new building of the NATO mission in Kiev.

We will remind that earlier the President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law of Ukraine “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning Ukraine’s foreign policy”. According to him, one of the priorities of national interests defined by the integration into the Euro-Atlantic space of security, with the aim of gaining membership in NATO.
