Lavrov commented on the idea of pre-registering for the Russians in Ukraine
The Russian foreign Ministry believes that the introduction of the Kiev pre-registration for the Russians is a “step in the wrong direction.”
This was stated by state Secretary, Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Karasin, reports TASS.
“We are carefully studying the innovations of the Ukrainian authorities and their degree of affinity existing between the two countries the intergovernmental agreements. After that we are going to look at how we should react to it”, – he said.
According to the official, now the impression that “these steps can lead in the wrong direction and hit on the human dimension of relations” between the countries.

We will remind, Ukraine will implement a mechanism to pre-registration for Russian citizens who want to enter the territory of Ukraine. This was during the briefing following the NSDC meeting, said his Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov.
Thus, the Russian, who plans to go to Ukraine, must register in advance and provide the foreign Ministry with the necessary data. Turchinov added that he also introduced the mandatory registration of citizens of the Russian Federation located on the territory of Ukraine in the place of their temporary stay.
According to him, announced biometric control to foreigners would primarily affect citizens of the Russian Federation.
Ukraine will introduce biometric controls for citizens of other countries who cross the Ukrainian border. The decision was taken at a meeting of the national security Council, said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“We should remove all biometric data, including fingerprints and a digital photograph. This will greatly enhance the possibilities to combat terrorism,” he said.
