In the official journal of the European Union called the date of entry into force of the Association Agreement with Ukraine
The Association agreement between the European Union and Ukraine will come into force on 1 September 2017.
Relevant information was published in the EU official journal on Tuesday, July 25.
“The Association agreement between the European Union and the European atomic energy Community and their member States, on the one hand, and Ukraine, on the other hand, signed in Brussels on 21 March 2014 and 27 June 2014, comes into force on 1 September 2017 in accordance with article 486 of the Agreement, as of the last ratification document was adopted on 11 July 2017”, – stated in the message.
Recall, 11 July, the EU Council did one last formality, and finally ratified the Association agreement with Ukraine. In Brussels the Ministers of Finance and economy of the EU, who came to the summit, put their signatures under the document.
Informed all member countries of the European Union have already ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. After that the Netherlands handed over the ratification documents to the EU, and subsequently the green light of Association with Ukraine gave the EU ambassadors.
