Poroshenko has signed the ratification of the agreement with Europol

President Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law of Ukraine “On ratification of the Agreement between Ukraine and the European police office on operational and strategic cooperation”.

“The entry into force of the agreement will deepen Ukraine’s integration into European Union policy in the sphere of justice and internal Affairs, in the development of the achievements in the framework of the EU action Plan on liberalization of the visa regime between Ukraine and the EU”, – stated in the message.

Document expanding cooperation between Ukraine and the European police office for the fight against organized crime, terrorism and other forms of international crime.

“It is a revitalization of the exchange of operational information in the course of criminal proceedings, and creating opportunities for joint activities to investigate crimes and search of persons, involved in Commission of crime”, – noted in press service.

Indicates that cooperation may include the exchange of expertise, shared information, strategic analysis, information on criminal investigation procedures, information on the prevention of crime, participation in training activities, as well as providing advice and support in individual criminal investigations.

The agreement was signed December 14, 2016 in the Hague (Netherlands) and approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 12 July this year.
