Georgia will not give Ukraine the former mayor of Kiev Leonid Chernovetsky in case of receipt of the request for his arrest and extradition.
This is stated in the statement of the Prosecutor’s office of Georgia, reports the Georgian Agency Liberali.

It is noted that the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine have not yet sent in Tbilisi a request for arrest and extradition Chernovetsky.
“In case of receipt of the request for arrest and extradition of Leonid Chernovetsky in Ukraine, it can’t be done since Leonid Chernovetsky is a citizen of Georgia and its transfer to third countries is unacceptable,” – said the Prosecutor’s office of Georgia.
Earlier, the GPU reported about suspicion to the former head of the Kiev, who is suspected of causing damage worth more than UAH 250 million.
In turn, Chernovetsky has denied all accusations and accused the Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko in revenge.
