Commission city Council unanimously rejected a petition to cancel the renaming of the Avenue Shukhevych
The Commission for culture of the Kyiv city Council unanimously rejected a petition to cancel the renaming of the Avenue General Vatutin in the prospect of Roman Shukhevych in Kiev.
About this on his page in Facebook said the Deputy of city Council from IN “Freedom” Yury Sirotyuk.
The Deputy noted that the Commission had supported its proposal in response to the petition.
Sirotyuk also proposed to apply to the SBU regarding the verification of the initiators of the petition “anti-state activities” and bringing them to justice for “aiding the Russian invaders.”
As reported, on June 1, the city Council renamed the Avenue General Vatutin Avenue Roman Shukhevych. But the author of the petition of Elena Berezhnaya insists on the need to return to the previous name.
In July the district administrative court postponed consideration of the claim of city Council two public organizations regarding the renaming of prospect Vatutina on Shukhevych in August.
