One of the leaders of the Crimean Tatars were detained two and a half years ago for participating in a rally in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine in February 2014. The verdict has angered people who believe that the Crimean “games of crooked justice” punishes Chiygoza, but seeks to intimidate them all.

Chiygoza her seriously ill mother died while he was under arrest. His father, like everyone else were not allowed in the tiny courtroom.

Akhtem chigusa blamed the collision the day before, when the so-called green men seized the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea. “In the sentence is defined as a citizen of Ukraine. This gives us the opportunity to talk about the extradition of Akhtem chigusa. As soon as the sentence will come into force simultaneously with the appeal to the European court of human rights. We will insist on the extradition Chiygoza in Ukraine”, – said the head of the Majlis.

Ukraine also plans to raise the issue of the sentence Chigos and the release of other Ukrainian political prisoners in the Council of Europe.
