In the Rada registered a bill to ban civil servants to travel to Russia
The Verkhovna Rada registered a draft law which stipulates the time limit for Ukrainian civil servants to travel to the aggressor country – Russia
The document was submitted to Parliament on Monday, 9 October.
The authors of the bill are people’s deputies from “Blok Petro Poroshenko” Andrey Nemirovsky, and Andrew Sinkovich, as well as individual deputies Andrey Denisenko.

MPs propose to temporarily ban travel to Russia by the staff of the national security Council and defense of Ukraine, public officials and members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. For violation of the prohibition is proposed to punish by fines or dismissal.
Restrictions will not apply to employees of diplomatic services, or if the civil servant leaves with the purpose of urgent medical treatment or participation in the burial of a close relative, confirmed by relevant documents.
In the explanatory note to the law reads that Russia can exert pressure on public servants through bribery, blackmail or recruitment for the purpose of conducting anti-state activities.
“Such persons can steal, to apply torture, to imprison, even kill. In such cases, the Ukraine could not ensure the protection of their rights”, – stated in the explanatory Memorandum.

We will remind, security Service of Ukraine wants to ban travel to Russia, Ukrainian politicians and officials, and lawyers of SB of Ukraine has prepared a bill to limit visits to Russia politicians, officials, representatives of local authorities and public figures. The bill, in particular, provides for criminal liability of officials for visits to neighbouring countries with the aim of harming the national interests of Ukraine.
