The ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili still has a chance to obtain refugee status in Ukraine. He visited the main office of the migration service to clarify the fate of the application in which his lawyers even at the beginning of September, requested the Georgian such a status, according to a story TSN.19:30.

However, inside the building, the politician hasn’t come – demanded to be taken responsible persons on the street. Saakashvili came the representative of the Department and told that his application is not registered, because it must personally serve the petitioner, not his lawyers. “There is a definite procedure for the review of these applications, it provides personal representation, conducting interviews, that is, it provides for the participation of the asylum seeker in the procedure,” explained a spokesman for the customs service Sergei Gunko.
