The leader of the party “Movement new forces,” Mikheil Saakashvili after escaping from the van, the SBU received the status of a fugitive from custody.

“The status of the Saakashvili – a man who escaped from custody. And this casts doubt on the possibility of a humane Prosecutor’s office to offer him house arrest. We will be on this hard to think, but to think first about the Ukrainian state”, – he stressed.

After that policy withdrew from the house and put him in a blue Volkswagen minibus, but his supporters blocked the vehicle and was not allowed to take out Saakashvili.

In the SBU said that it had carried out the detention in the framework of criminal proceedings opened under part 1 of article 256 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (promotion of members of criminal organizations). The sanction of article provides imprisonment for the term from three to five years.
