The EU made a political decision to extend sanctions against Russia – Poroshenko

The leaders of the member countries of the European Union adopted a political decision to extend economic sanctions against Russia for its aggression against Ukraine.

“Important political decision of EU leaders to extend economic sanctions against Russia for violating the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the unwillingness to stop the hybrid’s aggression against our country. A decent answer for the fulfillment of their obligations and a clear call for a change in policy of the Kremlin”, – wrote in Facebook the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

The head of state thanked the EU leaders for the support of Ukraine.

“I am grateful to the Chancellor (Germany) Merkel and President (of France), the Macron, as partners in the Normandy format, to all our friends in the EU for the strong support of Ukraine and indestructible unity and solidarity in front of the aggressor. The future of peace, security and prosperity of our European home depend on the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine!” – said Poroshenko.

Earlier it was reported that due to sanctions from Russia “ran” for 10 billions of dollars more capital than expected.
