Saakashvili arrived in the SBU and explained why they’re not going to testify today

The leader of the party “Movement new forces,” the ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili in the morning came to SBU, where he was summoned.

Under the building of the security service of Saakashvili accused the SBU in on her own kidnapping and said that it is preparing a lawsuit to the European court of human rights for compensation, reports TSN.

His lawyer filed a motion to postpone the questioning. So, his lawyer Ruslan Chernolutsky explained that his client received the agenda on interrogation and the taking of samples for examination. He said that the simultaneous conduct of these investigative actions is illegal.

“We have already asked to disconnect these investigations. Already filed a petition. Today, we do not intend to go to the office of the investigator to conduct investigative actions”, – he said.

In turn, Saakashvili noted that he will do the investigation, “when everything will be done according to the law”.

“Come, if all goes according to the law, if there are two on the agenda … they want a sample of my voice, I sing them”, – he said.

We will remind, in the evening of 11 December the Pechersky regional court of Kiev released Saakashvili unconditionally. The court denied the prosecutors the petition about election of a measure of restraint in the form of a round-the-clock house arrest. Saakashvili is accused of assisting a criminal group under article 256 of the Penal code. He faces from 3 to 5 years behind bars.

Earlier, Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko has published a conversation recording of Saakashvili and oligarch of the “family” of Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko. They agreed to cooperate. Police detained Saakashvili late on the evening of 8 December and taken to the detention facility of the SBU in the Askold lane.
