The Russians officially warned of possible “problems” and “provocations” when traveling to Ukraine

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation appealed to its citizens with an explanation about the new regulations from entering the territory of Ukraine. Their Kremlin officials consider unjust demands on the part of Kiev.

“In connection with the reproduced in the Ukrainian media reports about the intention of the border service of that country to apply to the citizens of the Russian Federation from 1 January 2018, the new rules of crossing the state border draw attention to the following. As follows from the statements of the Kiev authorities, from the citizens of our country when travelling to Ukraine it is planned to request its competent authorities with personal data, including biometrics, as well as registration by place of stay during the stay and movement on the territory of the country”, – stressed in the foreign Ministry.
