Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko denies information supposedly independent expertise on the possible falsification of conversations of ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili and businessman fugitive Serhiy Kurchenko. The head of the GPU said in an interview to Ukrainian TV channels.

In the future, will hold a phonoscopic examination, which will establish whether the voices on the recordings belong to Saakashvili and his associates Severiano Dangadze, Kurchenko and his accomplice.

Police detained Saakashvili late on the evening of 8 December and taken to the detention facility of the SBU in the Askold lane.

On December 11 the Pechersky regional court of Kiev released Saakashvili unconditionally. The court denied the prosecutors the petition about election of a measure of restraint in the form of a round-the-clock house arrest. Saakashvili is accused of assisting a criminal group under article 256 of the Penal code. He faces from 3 to 5 years behind bars.
