Poroshenko described his expectations of the Bulgarian chairmanship in the EU Council
President Petro Poroshenko congratulated Bulgaria for the beginning of the first in the history of the state presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The head of state expects progress. In particular, the deepening of political Association and economic integration of Ukraine with the EU and strengthening EU support in the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

We will remind, according to statistics Agency Eurostat, in 2016 in the three member States of the EU more than one third of the population were at risk of poverty or social exclusion: Bulgaria (40.4 per cent), Romania (38.8 per cent) and Greece (35,6%). On the opposite end of the scale with a low share of the poor was registered in the Czech Republic (13.3%), and Finland (16.6 per cent), Denmark (16.7%) and the Netherlands (16.8 percent).
