“Ukrzaliznytsya” plans to increase the cost of passenger transport by 20% in 2018.
About it in interview “112.ua” said the VA. Chairman of the Board of PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Evgeny Kravtsov.
“We see a need to raise rate this year. In the financial plan to 2018 we have laid the double digits increasing by 10% each. Two times 10%, so it was smooth and not so much for people,” – said Kravtsov.
He noted that the tariff was not raised for several years.
“With passenger transport the situation is quite complicated in terms of rates. The tariffs for passenger transportation did not rise for several years,” said Kravtsov.
He added that loss-making passenger economy in Ukraine is subsidized by the profitable freight.
