The Cabinet appealed to the President regarding the dismissal of the head of “Ukroboronprom”

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has sent a petition to President Petro Poroshenko concerning dismissal of the Chairman of the state defense concern “Ukrmorprom” Roman Romanov.

The decision was taken at a government meeting on Wednesday, January 31.

“I recently announced that I will not work with the head of “Ukroboronprom” to the Romanovs… I did pause to, perhaps, the man himself decided and resigned, but this did not happen. Today I propose to accept the government’s decision on the application to the President to dismiss the head of “Ukroboronprom”, – said Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman.

Note, the Ministers supported his proposal unanimously.

Groisman added that he looks forward to introducing new candidate for the position updated by the Supervisory Board of the state Corporation.

We will remind, on December 27, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman reported that the sign representation to the President the dismissal of the case. He accused the CEO of the concern that he has not found a way to repay the debt to employees of shipbuilding plant in Nikolaev.

In turn, Romanov said that the company has nothing to debts to workers “Nikolaev shipbuilding plant”.

“The arrears of wages were formed due to the fact that the plant had not received a refund for the contents of the rocket cruiser “Ukraine” and their own expense kept “Ukraine” afloat February 2015. As a result, government debt amounted to 61 million UAH”, – he assured.
