Poroshenko approved the decision of the Council of national security of Ukraine

President Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision of the Council of national security and defense on the adoption of the draft law on national security of Ukraine.

The corresponding decree, which shall enter into force from the day of its publication, was published on the website of the President.

“To enact the decision of national security Council and defense of Ukraine from 17 January 2018 “On the draft law of Ukraine “On national security of Ukraine”, – the document says.

As noted, on January 17, the Council approved the draft law “On national security of Ukraine”, which should be the basis for the development and updating of legislation in the sphere of national security and defense.

According to the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, the law “On national security of Ukraine” needs to summarize and lead to a common denominator everything is already implemented and planned reforms of the security sector and defense of the country, to unite not only the basic foundations of national security, but also issues of democratic civilian control and planning framework in these areas.

We will remind, earlier Poroshenko enacted NSDC decision regarding the state defense order for 2018-2020. The priority directions of state defense order for 2018 is to ensure the APU of modern missile and armored vehicles, electronic warfare and air defense, unmanned aircraft systems, antisnaypersky systems and the like.
