Poroshenko has signed the law on the reintegration of Donbass
Today, February 20, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on the reintegration of the occupied regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
The President on Twitter noted that the law did not violate any international obligations of Ukraine, including Minsk agreements.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, Poroshenko explained that the law on the reintegration of Donbass is a framework and needs further legislative support.
“It needs further legislative support actions the Armed forces of Ukraine, the actions of other law enforcement departments that we have improved the legal mechanisms of restoration of territorial integrity of our state. And this work will continue,” he said.
The President also added that he expects the Minister of defence Stepan Poltorak and the chief of the General staff of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko appointment of the commander of the United Forces, approval of the Provision on joint operations headquarters, clarify the Strategic intent of the use of the Armed forces in accordance with the Law, which takes effect.

Recall, on 18 January, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on de-occupation of Donbass “On peculiarities of state policy on ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.” Before that, the deputies two days was considered about 600 edits to the document. It officially recognizes Russia as an aggressor.
