Ukraine stands for the peaceful return of the occupied territories – Poroshenko about the law on Donbass

Ukraine remains committed to a peaceful solution to the problem of liberation of the occupied territories. This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko, by signing the law on the reintegration of Donbass.

The Ukrainian head of state assured his firm position on this issue. He also noted that the Ministry of foreign Affairs, Parliament, people’s deputies, relevant ministries and agencies strongly advocate a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass.

“The struggle for the deployment of a classic peacekeeping mission in accordance with the decision of the UN security Council, which would allow to ensure a safe component to restore sovereignty over the occupied territories of Ukraine”, – said Poroshenko and stressed that this decision is supported by more than 75% of Ukrainians.

In addition, the President reported that following the meeting of the Council of national security and defense this week will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law “On National security”.

“It is also a framework Law, which is the continuation of the adoption of the Strategic defense Bulletin is a Testament to our strong and deep reforms in the sector of defense and security, harmonization of our cooperation with NATO countries and by NATO,” – said Petro Poroshenko.
