Special monitoring mission of the OSCE plans to open a new patrol base in the occupied districts of Donetsk region, in particular near the border with Russia.
This was stated by first Deputy Chairman of the OSCE SMM Alexander Hg, reports UNIAN.
As noted, the mission plans to expand its presence along the line of contact and beyond. Hug also added that plans to “open offices near the uncontrolled part of the border with the Russian Federation, for example, or in Novoazovsk Amvrosievka of Donetsk region”.

According to him, for these offices the CMM requires security guarantees, even though they be far beyond the line of contact, or directly on it. This will allow the mission to carry out their work in safety and peace.
“Time to give observers mission safe and unrestricted access to all areas”, – said Hg. He explained that access is needed in order to enable the mission to provide a comprehensive picture of the situation in the Donbas and to verify the implementation by the parties of the agreements.
