The national currency took a course on strengthening since the beginning of this year.

The national currency continues to strengthen gradually in the future 12 months the rate will increase to 25 hryvnia per dollar.

These forecasts are published in the analytical review of the investment Bank Goldman Sachs, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

Earlier, in mid-August, 2017 Goldman Sachs analysts predicted the growth rate in the three months to 25.3 UAH/USD, six months – up to 25 UAH/USD, 12 months and until the end of 2018 to 24.8 UAH/USD.

At that time, the national currency strengthened a few months in a row, but in the last days of August went down. The national Bank of Ukraine tied the reversal with speculation about the expected fall of hryvnia devaluation and to smooth the increased volatility was compelled several times to go to market with the sale of the currency.

However, the hryvnia, except for a period in November continued to decline and ended the year 2017 at around 28,09 UAH/USD, which is 3.9% lower than a year earlier.
