The Fund warned that it is fraught with missed opportunities.

In Ukraine there is a slowdown of reforms.

This was stated by the head of the European Department of the International monetary Fund’s Paul Thomsen, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“We see a slowdown of reforms… Long delay with the next revision of the program speaks for itself”, – he said.

Paul Thomsen noted that while the situation does not pose a significant risk for Ukraine, in particular given the monetary policy of the National Bank, which deserves high marks.

At the same time, the IMF noted that the slowdown of reforms threatens Ukraine missed opportunities.

Without the mission, the allocation of the next tranche impossible. However, the continuous dialogue with Kyiv at all levels, from official to work – continues. A key requirement of the IMF is simple: Ukraine needs to prove devotion to reform, not in words and not one-time demonstrations.

Earlier it was reported that until the end of spring 2018 may occur, the revision of the program increased funding of the International monetary Fund for Ukraine. Kiev will receive the next tranche of the loan, subject to the successful implementation of reforms within the next month or two. Among the necessary reforms is the adoption of the law on the independent anti-corruption court, reform of the energy sector and ensuring that fiscal policy aimed at achieving the objectives of the program.
