In Washington signed an agreement establishing the Fund for energy efficiency in Ukraine.
The European Union and Germany will provide Ukraine 53 million euros for projects energoeffektivnosti.
The corresponding agreement in Washington on April 21 wrote to Ukraine, international Finance Corporation (IFC), the EU and Germany, the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance.
The agreement provides for the establishment of a Fund for energy efficiency in Ukraine. It is aimed at reduction of energy losses in the residential sector and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

This Fund together with the Ukrainian energy efficiency Fund will help Finance projects to improve energy efficiency in apartment houses in Ukraine and provide expert support for the development of the market.
According to the agreement, at the initial stage under the management of the IFC will be up to 53 million euros of funding provided by the EU and Germany.
In the Ukrainian Finance Ministry expects that in addition to reducing the energy consumption, the newly established Fund will create about 75 thousand new jobs.

Recall that in 2018 in Ukraine began to work the state enterprise “energy efficiency Fund”, whose activities in the state budget provided UAH 2 billion. According to the law On “energy efficiency Fund”, it is created to support initiatives on energy efficiency, the introduction of tools to stimulate and support the implementation of measures for improving energy efficiency of buildings and energy saving, including in the residential sector.
