One hundred and fifty deputies supported the initiative of changing the name.
More than 150 people’s deputies of Ukraine submitted the bill on amendments to article 133 of the Constitution of Ukraine concerning the renaming of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The relevant document appeared on the website of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, April 27.
Note that currently the text of the bill is not made public.
At the same time, the co-author of the bill, MP from the faction “popular front” Andrew Teteruk said that the initiative provides for the renaming of the Dnipropetrovsk region in Sichevskyi.
“The proposed title Sichevskyi,” said he, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.
We will remind, on may 19, 2016 in the framework of the Council of the Supreme Rada renamed six cities, nine districts and 284 villages. The decision was supported by 249 deputies.
Earlier, an initiative to rename Dnipropetrovsk oblast in Sichevskyi was organized “human rights group “SICH”, one of whose members has registered a petition on the official Internet representation of the President of Ukraine.
