The hryvnia has appreciated against the dollar by 1.2%.

During April of this year in the currency market , the hryvnia strengthened against the dollar by 1.2% and year – to-date by 6.5%.

Such data are the national Bank of Ukraine in macroeconomic and monetary review, writes UNIAN.

The regulator explains the strengthening of the hryvnia to the action of fundamental factors, including a reduction in banking system liquidity in March by 11.3 billion as a result of the operations of the government, once in February due to the operations of the Cabinet the liquidity of the banking system increased. Also in March was favorable for Ukraine’s external environment and continued growth in supply of foreign currency from the population.

We will remind, in the budget of the 2018 laid a course of 29,3 USD per dollar, and last year laid 27,2 UAH.

The government announced such currency forecasts: the exchange rate of the hryvnia (average per year) in 2018 will amount to 29.3 UAH per dollar, in 2019 – 30.5 UAH per dollar in 2020 – 31 UAH per dollar.

According to the survey of the NBU in the first quarter of 2018, a majority of the representatives of Ukrainian business predict the exchange rate of the hryvnia to the US dollar in the next 12 months within 28-31 UAH per dollar.

Historical record of hryvnia against foreign currencies in the official exchange rate of the NBU: USD 26 February 2015, has reached the highest figure in 30.01 UAH, Euro set his record on January 26, 2018 – 35,66 UAH.
