The restoration of peace in Ukraine depends on the willingness of the Russian side to stop the aggression against Ukraine.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with the delegation of the parliamentary Assembly (PA) OSCE headed by the President of the Assembly Giorgi Tsereteli.
About it informs the press service of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
“Klimkin noted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in the framework of the OSCE and expressed appreciation to President Giorgi Tsereteli for strong support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in conditions of the ongoing military aggression of the Russian Federation in the Donbass, and the illegal occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol”, – stated in the message.

The Minister stressed that the restoration of peace in Ukraine depends on the willingness of the Russian side to stop the aggression against Ukraine. Klimkin urged the OSCE PA to use the available tools and instruments to force the Kremlin to adhere to the principles of the Helsinki Final act and to abandon the aggressive and expansionist policies towards Ukraine.
“Giorgi Tsereteli confirmed the support of the OSCE PA the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and pledged continued cooperation and support initiatives of the Ukrainian side in the framework of the Assembly”, – said the press service of the foreign Ministry.
Testimony to the consolidated position of the parliamentarians of the OSCE PA, according to Tsereteli, is the adoption by the Assembly for the last seven years of relevant resolutions in support of Ukraine.
