The Ukrainian foreign Minister assured that Ukraine is on the Georgian side.
Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin denounced the mutual recognition of Syria’s independence of the breakaway republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
He stated this on his Twitter page.
“I strongly condemn the Syrian regime’s recognition of independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia”, – he stressed.
According to Klimkin, Ukraine remains committed to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
“Invariably stand side by side with our Georgian friends. A flock of allies of Russia are well known to all”, – concluded the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry.
Strongly condemn the Syrian regime’s recognition of independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. We remain committed to support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and always stand side-by-side with our Georgian friends. A flock of allies #Russia all have long known.

Earlier, Syria recognized the independence of breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The two countries agreed on mutual recognition and establishment of diplomatic ties.
Then Georgia declared the severance of diplomatic relations with Syria, accusing the Syrian government in violation of international law. In Tbilisi believe that the decision was made in the result of the manipulation of Russia.
