According to the Ombudsman, in case the Director is only his Ukrainian passport.

Russia recognizes the prisoner of the Kremlin, the Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov a Ukrainian citizen.

This was stated during a press conference in Moscow Parliament Commissioner for human rights Lyudmila Denisova.

“Russia of course recognizes that Oleg Sentsov is a Ukrainian citizen. G. in the individual case specified passport, which he issued in Ukraine, its number and date”, she said.

According to Denisova, Russia does not have a single document that Sentsov had Russian citizenship.

“Nobody has provided the Ukrainian side nor the copies of documents nor the number of alleged Russian passport”, – she added.

Denisov said that he was going to inform the ambassadors of the countries “Norman format”, the European Union and the United States, and the UN mission and the OSCE on Russia’s violation of international conventions, its mandate as the Ombudsman and the presidents ‘ agreement.

“I note that the Russian Federation violated the international Convention on human rights and its own laws, blocking access of the Ombudsman and the Consul for political prisoners.
